About the role
Join the dedicated team at the 5-star Park Hyatt Auckland as a Guest Service Officer - Front Office. This full-time position is based in the heart of Auckland CBD and plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our discerning guests.
What you'll be doing Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experienceAssist guests with enquiries and requests, anticipating their needs to exceed their expectationsManage guest accounts, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions accuratelyKeep detailed records and maintain an organized filing systemActively promote the hotel's facilities, services and special offers to guestsCollaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfactionAdhere to all hotel policies, procedures and health & safety regulationsWhat we're looking for 1-2 years' experience in a front office or customer service role, ideally within the hospitality industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanourStrong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to handle difficult situations with tactFamiliarity with hotel reservation systems and front office operations(preferably Opera)Fluency in English, with additional language skills an advantageFlexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidaysMust have legal working rights in New Zealand What we offer At Park Hyatt Auckland, you'll enjoy a competitive wage, discounted accommodation at Hyatt hotels worldwide, and opportunities for career development and internal progression.
