General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights This new and challenging position based in Auckland will appeal to experienced business and education leaders wanting to lead a newly formed company's operations for Champagnat Marist Education Ltd, CMEL. CMEL is part of a new Marist group strategy to develop and enhance the Catholic Special Champagnat character of Marist education organisations with a focus on leading the Marist Education philosophy and supporting property and finance. The CMEL Group General Manager will assist the various companies to manage a $100million asset base of schools and related properties. These include Sacred Heart College, Marcellin College and St Paul's College. The future education mission will continue to support Catholic families with education for their children, nurturing in them a love for Jesus Christ and preparing them to take their part in the world.Reporting to the CMEL Board, the Group GM will lead CMEL's operations and help develop then implement the strategic and business plans. This calls for modelling a supportive and positive culture in the many stakeholder relationships by working collaboratively alongside relevant Marist boards, leadership educators and various stakeholders in Marist schools and related Marist ministries. Key areas of responsibility include helping develop the overall strategic education plans in line with the Catholic Special Champagnat Marist character as well as planning and financial management of the Marist Brothers' property assets. This position calls for executive level experience managing a small team and strategic projects with high-level relationships, strong financial and reporting acumen and experience in multi-site property operations management. In addition to overall leadership expertise, experience and qualifications relevant to this senior and strategic position should ideally include:High level stakeholder relationship management at School Board or Principal levels HR, HS, board reporting, Charitable Trust and other company compliance managementFinance, Property and Administration managementA tertiary degree in education, business or related fields. Advanced MS suite capability, organisational and time management skills and advanced presentation skills (written and verbal) are essential.
