ASB's Future Me Graduate programme is a truly unique experience. A permanent position from day one, the programme promises to challenge, inspire, support and develop you as you begin your career. Whether you are part of the rotational offering, or refining your skills in a specialisation, the programme will take you on an 18-to-24-month journey through the complex and ever-changing world of banking.
During the programme you'll be matched with a Grad Sponsor, who will be with you throughout the journey, as well as gaining expert insight and support from our Future Me team.
You'll work with everyone from fellow Grads to General Managers, Business Analysts to the CTO - there is really no limit to the talent and experience you will be exposed to. Once you 'graduate' from the Future Me Programme, you will have developed an exceptional toolkit to take with you as you enter your post-programme role within ASB.
All we ask is that you bring your whole self, and an open mind to the work you do. Join us on the path to accelerate progress of all New Zealanders.
What you'll do
Help to architect and design fit-for-purpose technology solutions for our customers and wider ASB teams, applying architecture principles in tangible real-world situations.
Contribute to the effective governance of technology and systems across ASB.
Contribute to the establishment and effective management of architecture tooling, methodology and practice.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of ASB's strategy, constantly aligning this with our purpose.
Contribute to your Future Me Intern network, sharing ideas and knowledge, helping to create an environment of creativity and continuous development.

ASB is dedicated to supporting our communities. We work with not-for-profits, event organisers, schools and organisations through a combination of investment and in-kind support. All ASB employees are offered 12 hours of paid leave each year to support their chosen causes.
ASB and Hato Hone St John have been in partnership since 2008, with ASB staff volunteering on Area Committees for Hato Hone St John, as Caring Callers, and providing help with fundraising. All ASB branches are equipped with an AED (Automatic Heart Defibrillator) and have AED-trained staff ready to help, should the need arise.
ASB is also committed to supporting the next generation to live life one step ahead. As Youthline's Principal Partner, ASB wants all young people to know that it's okay to seek help, and that Youthline is available to offer support for free.

Eligibility:
You must be in the final year of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree or have completed university studies in the last 24 months.
You must be a permanent resident or citizen of New Zealand at the time of your application.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake several pre-employment checks which will include but are not limited to; Police Check, Credit Check, AML Compliance, Verification of your qualifications and may include checks both here in New Zealand and overseas.
