The company and opportunity:
This is a permanent opportunity for the best in Fund Services! My Client is based in Newmarket and is a successful, long-established service provider to the investment, fund management and superannuation industries. They are looking for a Fund Services Administrator / Fund Accountant as they have had so much growth there is now a need for another member.
This role is full time, Monday to Friday This person will be an integral part of the team within the organisation. You will need to have excellent attention to detail when dealing with financial data and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
Some of your key areas of responsibility will include:
Ensure that all investment transactions are correctly and timely recorded
Ensure payments are accurately processed and within expected time periods
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts
Reconcile fund positions to external records (e.g. custodian and broker records)
Correspondence with clients
Assist with the preparation of weekly/monthly reporting, monthly and year-end reporting
Cross-train in all Fund Services operations to be able to support other team members
To be successful in this role:
Experience in the financial sector would be a plus, but not essential
Good computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems and procedures
Advanced numeracy and analytical capability
General understanding of accounting/book keeping
Good verbal and written communication skills, required both internally and with external parties (clients, auditors, regulators, supervisors, etc.)
As this is a permanent role, those only with NZ Citizenship or permanent residency will be considered for this role
