Fitter - Injection

Job Description Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. About this opportunity This position will ensure the efficient and safe running of the manufacturing process. You will assist the Operations Manager / Injection Technician to ensure products are delivered in full, to the correct quality specification, and on time in line with the requirements of the manufacturing plan, while making Health & Safety our first priority. This role will work Night Shifts. Your key responsibilities will be to: Perform mould change overs / insert changes / col changes. Start up work centres and ensure product complies with quality specifications. Carry out routine maintenance / cleaning of machinery and tools. Assist operating staff when required to relieve / operate machinery / material + col change tasks. Carry out housekeeping and Lean requirements. Actively seek engineering solutions to Health & Safety issues. Ensure that product conforms to quality specification at start up and throughout the run. Maintain contact with the Injection Technician for prioritising work, quality issues, and work centre issues. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: Essential Plastics Trade qualification or relevant Injection molding experience. Able to work with Injection machinery control systems. Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance systems. Demonstrated written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the role. Demonstrated mechanical experience. Safety-first attitude. Desirable Plastics Trade qualification or relevant hands-on industry experience. Thorough understanding of all the manufacturing processes utilized.
