We are seeking a proactive financial professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting with gathering, analyzing, and reporting on large amounts of information.
This role will support our Group Commercial team and Corporate budget holders with high-quality financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and management accounting services to aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making.
To excel in this role, you will have solid financial skills, an excellent grasp of business needs, and key drivers. Experience in large, complex organizations will be an advantage.
To be successful, strong analytical skills combined with a methodical, systematic approach and efficient time management will be essential.
The role Based in either Whangarei or Auckland – East Tamaki, the role is varied, and your responsibilities will include:
Complete month-end Group reporting and generate insightful reports to aid our managerial planning.
Support with designing, maintaining, and transforming various financial models used by the Group Commercial Team.
Support the business by providing financial planning and analytics; identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and drive finance business partnering.
Assist with corporate budgeting and forecasting.
Dive into exciting projects as required, contributing financial expertise to drive success.
Provide ad hoc financial reporting as reasonably required.
Integral to this role is the ability to manage duties to meet reporting deadlines, a desire to improve, and promote a shared understanding of outcomes, accuracy, and have an eye for detail.

About you This is a busy role with tight deadlines. It goes without saying you will be resilient and comfortable dealing with people at all levels. You will have a natural flair to build, maintain robust relations, and engage with key stakeholders as well as influence improvement and change. You will demonstrate:
Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, or business management. CA qualification will be an advantage.
Minimum 2 years with relevant post-qualification experience either in a medium to large commercial entity or CA firm.
A high level of skill with the suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel to Power Query and VBA level, to create easy-to-use financial modeling and support existing business models.
A keen eye for detail that ensures accuracy in financial analysis.
A firm understanding of financial statements including P & L, cash flow, and balance sheets.
Experience working on systems like JDE, PowerBi will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); strong interpersonal and collaborative working relationships with diverse people.
