The team
The People, Services and Delivery group supports the organisation with services including HR, Finance, Procurement, Information Management, Operations, Risk & Assurance. The role
We are looking for an experienced hands-on finance professional to lead the Finance, Procurement, and Services team at the PCO. A trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership team and holding the function of Chief Financial Officer, this is a broad and varied role which will deliver quality, pragmatic advice and support, including to the PCO's Audit & Risk Committee.
Your role will be directly responsible for delivering internal and external reporting, budgeting, and treasury functions, as well as the effective implementation and governance of all financial and procurement policies, procedures, and systems. You will also be closely involved in the PCO's business planning process and a member of the PCO management team.
This role connects broadly across Government, holding relationships with Treasury, Audit NZ, Office of the Auditor General, and Parliamentary Service.
In addition, you will lead a team of five to deliver budget management, payroll, contract management, property services, and executive support services for the PCO.
The successful applicant will have:
a hands-on delivery focus;
demonstrated experience of developing high-quality financial and business advice, analysis, and interpretation to support effective decision-making;
experience of owning and delivering internal and external reporting, budgeting, and treasury functions;
the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
built and managed high-quality procurement and supplier management capabilities;
experience managing a team who are responsible for diverse functions across the business.
