Your new companyYou will be working at the iconic world-class sporting and community facility based in the heart of Invercargill.
The ILT Stadium Southland has over the years hosted a variety of different events, from sporting excellence at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome, to music and comedy with stars such as Billy Connolly, to exhibitions and gala dinners.
It has received a $41 million redevelopment recently which has helped create the community centre Invercargill knows and loves, with a Clip n Climb centre on site for the young at heart.Located in Surrey Park, the ILT Stadium Southland is just 10 minutes from Invercargill Airport and 5 minutes from the city centre shopping and has ample on site parking, making it accessible for the local community.Your new roleYou will be working as the Finance and HR Manager, leading the finance function and supporting the GM in ensuring the HR operations are in line with business priorities.
Your time will be split approx 70/30 between the two with the heavier emphasis on finance, and you will be responsible for everything from supervision of AP/AR processing, management and financial accounting, payroll processing, cost analysis, and strategic and long-term planning.
You will also have accountability for all reporting including external, month end, board level and regulatory.
On the HR side you will have tasks including development of policies with the stadium's leadership, employee relations including recruiting and onboarding, and legal compliance.What you'll need to succeedYou will need a strong level of experience within a finance function, with 5 years plus track record at this level or ascending to this level and team leading within this.
You will have created reporting on both sides of the accounting see-saw, and have strong analytical skills.
Ideally you will have accounting certifications or qualifications to back up your skills and experience, but a strong background and demonstrable knowledge is more important.
You don't need the full suite of HR knowledge as training can be provided, but you will need to have strong people skills and have led a team either through behaviours or processes.
You will need to be in Invercargill at the heart of the community, but if you do not live locally then relocation support may be provided for the right individual.What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with your experience and the requirements of the role.
