Farm Assistant

New Zealand Farm Source Jobs – Rotorua, North IslandFull time, PermanentThe new season is upon us, and we are looking for a farm assistant for the running of our 720 cow dairy farm located 10 minutes north of Rotorua. We are milking in a De Laval 60 bale rotary. The assistant position will be responsible for helping the Manager with day-to-day duties on the farm that include milking, feeding out, and general farm maintenance such as fencing and water management.Tractor skills and the ability to ride a two-wheel bike are preferred but can be taught. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years in the dairy industry with a passion for the industry and a desire to grow. We offer the opportunity to attend AG ITO courses and training.We are looking for someone who is drug-free and has a valid license. We look forward to having an enthusiastic member join our team. Applicants must be in New Zealand, eligible to work with a current work visa, and ready for interviews. Relief work and calf rearing options are available for a partner throughout the year. A 3-bedroom house is provided on the farm.Flat to rolling contour. Close to schools and town.
