Farm Assistant/ Herd Manager

Job Description Relisted due to time wastersDo you love farming ?Enjoy being outside in all weather ?Open to learning new technology?Have a good knowledge of farming min 2 years?Enjoy working predominantly solo?Then this might be the role for youWe are seeking a motivated 2IC that is passionate about the industry and seeing results.You will be working alongside the sharemilkers who live on farm.The farm is situated in the lower Hawkes bay region, with good schooling and 5mins from town.Ideally a partner/wife would be interested in calf rearing and or relief milking (part time position) although not essential.The farmmilks 400 cows thru a 28h/b with acrsCovered feed padsJust installed halterSpring calving farm with springers calving predominately in the herd home.All calves are rearedRoster currently is 5 and 2 , 6 and 1 but we are open to thisDuties included :MilkingKeep shed clean and tidy (we are very farm proud)Weed controlFeeding - mixer wagonGeneral maintenance #J-18808-Ljbffr
