Add expected salary to your profile for insights Bowls Southland is part of the Region 6 Centre under a new structure with Bowls NZ which now requires both parties to act collectively to achieve a structure that is best for the sport of bowls as a whole in New Zealand. ROLE: To contribute to, implement and monitor the Bowls NZ Strategy and Bowls Southland operating plans which are fundamental to achieving long term sustainability and growth for the sport of bowls locally, regionally and nationally. To proactively develop leadership and to provide mentoring and coaching to stakeholders in order to enhance the capabilities of all centres and the sport of bowls within the Bowls Southland area. To sustain and improve the financial capability of the Centre through management of existing revenue streams, identification of new ones and through prudent financial management and reporting. To provide strong, effective leadership and direction to the Bowls Southland family of stakeholders and the game of Bowls in the Southland area. To grow and promote the sport of Bowls within the Southland area through increasing the participant base and providing pathways for players, coaches, umpires, and administrators of all ages, genders and cultures throughout the Southland area. We are looking for the following attributes: The Executive Officer will be required to possess substantial experience and success working in a Sporting Organisation A track record showing strong business acumen, financial analysis, negotiations skills and collaborative external relationship management with a wide range of stakeholders A relevant business tertiary qualification preferably in Accounting and Finance A solid understanding of the internal workings of the sport of Bowls or a similar high profile sport within New Zealand A track record of Financial Capability and Acumen including the capacity to manage, interpret and report on financial performance Ability to organise multiple concurrent projects with changing priorities and deadlines, and emerging issues Strategic ability and agility A positive, enthusiastic can do it attitude. Engaging, Collaborative, and Compassionate Willingness to be held accountable.
