It reports to the Climate Priorities Ministerial Group and tracks policy delivery, leading indicators, and external challenges.The Climate IEB Unit leads the Board's monitoring reports, working across 20 agencies to collate and analyse data. We track progress and provide an adaptive management approach to advise on emissions budgets.We seek an Executive Director to develop and oversee a work programme that delivers climate change outcomes. This involves working with senior leaders, chairing cross-agency Director meetings, and presenting to Ministerial meetings.As Executive Director, you will lead the Board, manage a high-quality secretariat function, and ensure cross-agency climate objectives are delivered. You will also be responsible for ongoing administration, monitoring, and reporting on policies and programmes.Manage the work of the Board, including agendas, forward planning, and risk assessments.Establish and manage a high-quality secretariat function for the Board.Be responsible for the ongoing administration, monitoring, and reporting on policies, programmes, and statutes.Assist the board to engage across government agencies on climate mitigation and adaptation.To be successful, you will have experience delivering complex cross-agency policy work programmes. You will also bring strong leadership skills, a sound understanding of climate change policy, and experience working in complex governance structures.Knowledge of economic frameworks and/or monitoring and implementation of policy would be an advantage.
