We are looking for an experienced leader to join Open Polytechnic's Executive Leadership team, with responsibility for the full scope of the digital technology environment in our organisation. The Executive Director: Digital provides the strategic direction and leadership that delivers the digital technology capability, innovation and services that enable our distinct technology-enabled learning experiences, in alignment with and by achieving the goals and objectives of the Polytechnic.
As a member of the Polytechnic's Executive Leadership Team the Executive Director: Digital contributes to the strategic leadership of the organisation and the identification and setting of strategic goals and objectives by bringing to the team a focus on and expertise about all things digital.
The role is responsible for:
Contributing to setting and implementing the strategic direction of Open Polytechnic
Leading and managing the full scope of the digital technology ecosystem
Providing the effective leadership and management that ensures diverse teams work cohesively and in alignment with the strategic direction of the Polytechnic
Developing and delivering a digital strategy that secures the achievement of organisational goals and objectives

The ideal candidate will have:
Significant senior management experience with evidence of effective strategic leadership
Experience in implementing technological change throughout an organisation
Experience in leading project management and/or a team of project managers.
Strong digital education technology knowledge and understanding
An in-depth understanding of how the business of education works and how this relates to the vocational education sector
Self-motivation, accompanied with the ability to crunch the challenges the role can present.
