About the Role This is a dynamic, 'end-to-end' event coordinator role, working to deliver high quality events. You will be predominantly based in our Claudelands office, alongside our awesome Montana Food and Events (MFE) team, reporting to our Event Manager and assisting with working on site for some of the biggest retail and public events in the city.
This role is Fixed Term until end of June 2025. We are looking for someone who is keen to get in and be part of an exciting events calendar, supporting and managing events that include the likes of ASB Tennis, Meatstock Festival, Chiefs Rugby Season, Hamilton Arts Festival, ITM Taupo Super400 and many more. While the role is generally 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, leading up to and during event delivery a flexible approach to your working week is essential.
Duties include: Coordinate and manage MFE Retail events. Ensure project plan is followed and successfully completed.
Work closely and assist the MFE Events team with set up and pack down of events on the ground.Contributing to and taking ownership of events team administration tasks.Build and maintain good working relationships with key partners & clients to ensure repeat business is successful.Coordinate with our internal teams such as Retail, Beverage, Front of House, and Kitchen to deliver a successful event. You will ensure that everything is at the right place at the right time.Overseeing internal and external communication for pre and post event documentation such as preparing runsheets, ongoing Health & Safety coverage and post-event POS reporting. About you Events administrator experience or a recent graduate in events management is a great place to start.Previous experience in events is preferred.Thrives in a team environment.Attention to detail, able to pick up new skills quickly.Excellent communication and relationship management skills.Outstanding customer service focus.Able to prioritise and multi-task.Competent in computer and technical skillsAt times, this is a hands-on role, so a strong stamina and a good level of fitness is essential.
