Equine Coordinator

Hope Rising Farm Charitable Trust, a faith-based organization, is seeking an experienced Equine Coordinator to manage the care, training, and welfare of our ponies. This part-time role (25 hours per week) primarily focuses on equine management, with responsibilities that include mentoring participants in our equine-assisted programs. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily care of ponies, including feeding, health monitoring, and coordinating farrier, dentist, and vet visits. - Ensure ponies are exercised and trained regularly. - Provide support to mentors during equine-assisted programs when needed. - Act as a mentor during equine-assisted programs, providing guidance and support to participants. - Manage equine-related resources, budgets, and pasture maintenance. - Maintain comprehensive health and training records for all ponies. - Promote a holistic approach to pony care and well-being. Skills & Experience: - 3-5 years of equine management experience. - Strong knowledge of horse behavior, health, and nutrition. - Experience in natural horsemanship and working with miniature ponies. - Strong organizational and communication skills. Personal Qualities: - Committed to the mission and values of Hope Rising Farm. - Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently. Hours: Part-time role, 25 hours per week.
