Entry Level Payroll Advisor (6-month fixed term)Rarangi Utu a-Matauranga - Education Payroll Limited (EPL) is a Crown entity that delivers pay to schools and kura on behalf of the Ministry of Education. With around 200 employees, we deliver one of the largest and most complex payrolls in Australasia.The combination of great people and cutting-edge technology enable us to pay around 97,000 teachers and support staff across 2500 schools accurately and on time every fortnight. That's approximately $251 million a fortnight and $6.5 billion each year.After an initial 4-week training period, you will support users of the school's payroll system across the busy end of year and start of year period. Your responsibilities will include:Processing payroll transactions inline with legislation and employment agreementsProviding support to customers via email and phoneReviewing data for accuracy and maintaining accurate recordsA typical day as a Payroll Advisor includes joining your team for a morning hui, supporting our customers, processing various payroll changes, and enjoying social interactions with our friendly teams.We have multiple fixed term (6-month) entry level Payroll Advisor roles commencing on 30 September 2024 until 28 March 2025.To be successful as an entry level Payroll Advisor you should be able to demonstrate:An ability to multi-taskGood written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to learn and ask questionsIf successful, you'll be appointed between $55,400 and $57,824 depending on experience and capability. Our office is in Central Wellington, close to the train station for an easy commute.
