Description Position: Employment Consultant
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 8 months commencing February 2025
Hours: Full time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday
Location: North Shore hub
Pay Equity: $25.00ph - $30.00ph (depending on qualification held and its equivalence to the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4)

About Ember Korowai Takitini: Ember Korowai Takitini blends professional expertise and lived experience to offer a range of services and supports for anyone with mental health, addiction, or intellectual disability needs. At Ember, we support people to live the lives they choose and we challenge the systems that hold them back.
Role: Employment Consultants work with clients referred to Ember Services Limited, Employment Service, to identify their employment goals and aspirations and to facilitate placement into open employment. Supporting clients to maintain employment through an individualised employment support plan is an essential component of the position. Responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining robust relationships with a range of companies and employers.
Ensuring that the Ministry of Social Development contract targets are met.
You will need:
National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or equivalent.
Full current NZ drivers' licence.
Experience working within Employment Support or related roles (e.g., WINZ, Careers Advisor).
Ability to manage highly sensitive matters whilst maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
Drive and determination to achieve targets.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship.
A passion for supporting those in need on their pathway to recovery.
