Job Description A pivotal role in the Youth team, you will provide leadership, direction and support to Youth Leaders and members of the Meadowbank Youth division. A team player with well-honed organisational skills, you will lead the development and delivery of a high quality program which enhances the personal development of its members. This will include planning of annual, term, nightly and lesson level - and of course the appropriate resources (ratio).
About the role:
Effectively manage the Division to ensure a high performing team of Leaders and members
Provide mentoring, development and people leadership to Assistant Divisional Managers, Youth Leaders and Cadet NCO's
Contribute to annual, term, nightly and lesson programme planning
Ensure Divisional involvement across all aspect of the Youth Program
Actively engage in the delivery of Regional and District Level events as required
Ensure implementation and adherence to all St John Policies and procedures (CPP compliance and reporting, issue management and escalation protocols)
Make sure all activities are suitable, relevant, and of course, loaded with fun and adventure for all participants, whilst taking care to ensure they are in line with St John policy

Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you
Some key requirements:
Proven leadership skills and a keen interest in working with young people
A proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
An aptitude for working with a diverse demographic group e.g. age, culture, background
You will most certainly be an active team player
Have a natural talent for thinking and working outside the square
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to use a computer and have access to the Internet and E-Mail
Contribute a minimum of two hours per week to the role and attend overnight camps from time to time
