Role Summary An exciting job opportunity as The Director, Human Resources Operation for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) is now available in SEE ANZ region.
The role is based out of SEE Hamilton site in Waikato New Zealand and reports directly to VP Global People Experiences, Services, and Support based out of HQ Charlotte North Carolina US.
The successful candidate will lead and oversee the HR operations across the region.
As a key member of SEE's Regional HR team, this role is pivotal in driving HR strategy, managing day-to-day HR activities, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
The Director will partner closely with the leadership team and be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture within the organization.
As a senior leader, the Director's behavior should be exemplary ensuring that behaviors are consistently aligned with Sealed Air's values and core competencies – always following policies and procedures and acting in an ethical manner.
What does the Director, Human Resources Operations, ANZ do?
Safety: Actively demonstrating safe behaviors, following all safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Supporting implementation of safety policies and procedures.
Active safety mindset includes identifying/reporting safety hazards, supporting injury reduction and injury management, and safety training.
Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with plant and regional operations leadership teams to drive business initiatives that enhance or support HR strategies.
Develop and implement local and regional HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
Operational Excellence: Oversee HR operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery across ANZ.
Oversight includes day to day HR tactical support as well as project coordination around policies, processes and change management, in partnership with legal, HR operations team members and COE's.
Culture and Engagement: Champion organizational culture initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Responsible for tracking employee perception survey(s) and initiating actions to support enhanced culture and increased engagement.
Employee Relations: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, addressing employee grievances and disputes promptly and effectively.
Includes maintaining or enhancing positive employee and labor relations specifically targeting union/management relationships and collective bargaining.
Talent Acquisition and Retention: Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent and implement retention strategies to maintain a skilled workforce.
Performance and Talent Management: Targeted efforts to develop employees, lead and administer annual core HR processes like succession planning, talent reviews, and annual performance review processes including goal setting and compensation planning, and overseeing terminations in partnership with local practices and applicable business processes.
Learning and Development: Promote continuous learning and professional development opportunities for employees.
Actively participates in HR, safety, and compliance training.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations and manage risk effectively.
Align global programs, policies and procedures to people strategy.
HR Partnerships: Ensures collaborative partnerships within HR COEs and partner departments such as Total Rewards, Payroll, Learning and Development, Organizational Change & Development, Talent Acquisition, EH&S, Risk, Compliance, and Legal.
Reporting and Analytics: Analyze HR data and analytics to inform and drive decision-making and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
What are we looking for in you?
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in HR operations within the ANZ region.
Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
