The original owners of the Tuaropaki whenua believed that they could achieve more by working together. They amalgamated their family lands under an overarching vision to develop the land to provide opportunities for our whanau.
Today, Tuaropaki Trust is an Ahu Whenua Trust under the auspices of Te Ture Whenua Maori. There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whanau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners. The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at around $1 billion.

The Role As the Digital Systems Manager you will ensure the Trust has fit for purpose technology infrastructure and manage compliance and cybersecurity risk.
Your role will include:
Develop and implement an information systems maturity roadmap Own and maintain the Tuaropaki tech stack - including hardware, software, communications systems and infrastructure Identify and mitigate potential IT risks, implementing appropriate security measures to protect sensitive data, including cybersecurity risk Oversee the development and maintenance of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget Lead the IT team, providing mentorship, training, and performance management Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT systems support business goals and processes Monitor and manage IT service delivery, ensuring high levels of service availability and performance Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that could enhance business operations What you'll need to be sucessful You will be committed to growing your knowledge and use of te ao maori, te reo, tikanga maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and maori values and perspectives in your work, while supporting others to do the same.
To be successful in this role, you will also have:
Specialist tertiary qualification in information technology systems Prior expertise in development and implementation of an information systems roadmap. Exceptional communication skills and ability to simplify complex technical information into actionable recommendations at an executive and governance level Sound business acumen, with proven experience developing and delivering plans and processes that are aligned to organisational priorities, and driving change A track record of making quality decisions within your area of responsibility What you'll get in return
