Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherTechnologyWe are seeking an exceptional digital innovation specialist to lead our digital transformation journey across our junior and senior schools.About the roleThis unique position combines strategic planning with hands-on implementation, focusing on embedding cutting-edge digital practices and AI-driven learning methods into our educational framework.Leading our digital innovation strategy and maintaining our prestigious Apple Distinguished School statusSpearheading the integration of AI and emerging technologies in teaching and learningManaging and evolving our student-parent portal to ensure optimal user experienceDesigning and delivering professional development programs that inspire and empower staffDeveloping comprehensive digital citizenship programmes for students from Y0–13Creating seamless digital transitions between our junior school and senior schoolContributing to curriculum planning and assessment strategies through a digital lens.What you'll bringThe ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking educator with:Current NZ teaching registration with 5+ years of teaching experienceProven expertise in digital education leadership and professional developmentStrong understanding of both primary and secondary assessment frameworksExperience with AI integration in education and digital citizenshipDemonstrated ability to build and maintain educational technology ecosystemsTrack record of presenting at national education conferencesApple certified educator qualifications (desired but not essential)Strong connections within national and international education networks.We're looking for someone who demonstrates:Strategic vision and innovative thinkingOutstanding communication and relationship-building skillsStrong leadership capabilities and change management experiencePassion for technology-enhanced learningCommitment to excellence in educationAbility to inspire and mentor colleagues at all levels.Required qualificationsBachelor's degree (Masters preferred)Current NZ teaching registration
