This is an exciting time to join the team in this newly created role. The Digital & Content Specialist reports to the Head of Commercial & Marketing and is supervised on a daily basis by the Marketing Manager. They are responsible for executing the digital, social media and content strategies and plans. The focus of the role is to develop multi-format content and digital assets to promote all aspects of the organisation including lifesaving, education, sport, public safety messaging and events, with the goal of creating engaging and impactful content and communications.
This role will also provide support for the execution of commercial partner campaigns and content, fundraising campaigns, and assist with graphic design.
The role works within a supportive, motivated and creative team. Some flexibility in the hours worked is necessary as some events are held outside work hours. You will be happy working in a range of environments – at the beach, poolside or in an office. The role is Auckland-based with travel around New Zealand for a variety of events.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes: creative with a flair for design and an eye for photography, ability to work under pressure, great organisation skills, collaborative and exceptional communication skills, along with enthusiasm and energy. You will be flexible enough to work the occasional evening or weekend when needed to ensure communications are timely. You also need to have a genuine belief in our cause and most importantly a good sense of humour!
The skills and qualifications we are looking for include:
Tertiary qualification and/or experience in digital media/communications/marketing.Confident with digital content creation and website management.Experienced in social media with all key trends and platforms.Photography and videography skills and competency in editing software.At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with digital/social media experience.Full driver's licence.If you are keen to join our amazing team and make your mark, please send in a COVER LETTER and your CV before or by 5pm Thursday 31 October 2024.
