With offices based in Auckland city fringe, they work hybrid - with a few anchor days per week and the rest from home. 
  
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you'll spend 70% of your time coding and collaborating with a delivery squad and 30% mentoring engineers. You'll identify strengths and skill gaps, facilitate knowledge transfer, and enhance technical and soft skills.
  
As a mentor, you'll contribute to a productive work environment through 1:1s, coaching, and professional development. You'll act as a communication channel between developers, squads, and teams, addressing trends and issues to improve working methods.
  
Your coding responsibilities involve writing efficient Java code using AWS technologies. Working in a DevOps team, you'll optimise the CI/CD pipeline with tools like GitHub and AWS CodePipeline.
  
You'll also play a crucial role in creating, promoting, and maintaining automated tests using principles like Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for code functionality and stability.
  
ABOUT YOU: PROVEN LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE – You'll inspire and grow engineers, fostering collaboration. Strong communication skills and open to constructive feedback. 30% of the role is leading your own team. ADVANCED knowledge of Java mostly back-end including core features and popular frameworks like Spring. You'll spend 70% of your time coding. Proficient in AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM) and adept at architecting serverless solutions. Essential knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices, including tools for continuous integration and delivery.
