The Position

GS1 NZ has multiple software-as-a-service platforms, which enable effective and efficient product data and content synchronisation throughout the supply chain. We have an opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded Intermediate Developer to join our Digital Team. Our team is growing and this presents an exciting opportunity to join a progressive organisation.

Like many organisations that have grown quickly, we have a plethora of legacy and modern systems that we are committed to and resourcing to be modernised and integrated. Some are cloud-hosted; some on virtual machines. We are currently modernising our systems on the Azure cloud platform - any prior experience is welcome including experience with infrastructure as code and working with cloud services. We are seeking an Intermediate .Net Developer to join our dynamic and growing Digital Team. This role is pivotal in developing, enhancing, and maintaining our web-based applications and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of .Net technologies, be proactive in problem-solving, and have a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

3-5 years of experience in .Net development.

Proficient in C#, ASP.Net, MVC, and .Net Core.

Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.

Proficiency in using the Git code versioning tool including experience with code reviews and pull requests.

Familiarity with SQL Server and database design.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is essential.
