Te aheinga - The opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Desktop Support Specialist to join our Digital Enablement Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality IS support to all users across the council, ensuring all desktop hardware, software, and telecommunications systems are maintained and operating efficiently. You will report directly to the Service Delivery Supervisor and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver exceptional service and support.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities

- Provide quality customer service support of PCs, printers, servers and phones to internal customers as required
- Assist with the planning, creation and implementation of desktop builds and any rollouts to the organisation as required
- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation

Nga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience

Essential

- High level of computer literacy
- High level knowledge of PCs, printers, associated devices and software
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, LAN, WAN (data and voice)
- Experience in customer service

Preferred

- Tertiary qualification in relevant field
- ITIL qualification
- Accreditation or training from Microsoft or other Network suppliers
