FUJIFILM Business Innovation is committed to offering innovative solutions to businesses to help maximize their organisational strengths. As a USD$9 billion enterprise with approximately 40,000 employees globally, our portfolio includes R&D, manufacturing, business process automation and outsourcing services, IT solutions, world-class multifunction office printers, and commercial production printers.

About the role

Are you passionate about leading creative teams and fostering innovative design solutions? Do you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment where creativity and excellence are paramount? We are seeking a talented and creative Design Studio Manager to join our Marketing team.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation New Zealand (FBNZ) is transforming in response to changing customer needs and an evolving market. As part of this transformation, we are making a number of changes in our marketing team. This newly-created role is part of these exciting changes and is a fantastic opportunity for a senior, experienced graphic designer to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of our marketing function and helping our business grow.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will lead our in-house graphic design team (one direct report) which is responsible for building and managing the FBNZ design system and brand guidelines to strengthen our brand, connect our creative approach to our business strategy, and enable us to deliver a coherent and consistent look and feel across all of FBNZ. The role is a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team and the creative and delivery function within marketing.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain the local FBNZ design system and, working closely with the Content Marketing & Brand Strategy Manager, develop brand guidelines that are 'distinctively Kiwi' but also directionally consistent with global Fujifilm brand guidelines.

Develop templates and design standards to streamline the production of marketing materials.

Experiment with new design techniques and software to enhance the quality and creativity of deliverables.

Work closely with the wider marketing team to develop creative concepts and campaigns.

Create compelling and impactful visual content for various media, including digital, print, social media, and websites.

Ensure consistent application of the FBNZ design system and brand guidelines across all platforms.

Ensure all designs meet high standards of quality, user-friendliness, accuracy and brand consistency.

Review and approve final designs before production or publication.

Develop and manage the Design Studio budget and ensure optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

Skills & experience

We are looking for someone with a 'client-first' mindset who is naturally collaborative, resilient, results-oriented and innately curious, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a creative mindset. Along with this, you will also have:

Minimum of six years' experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.

Deep understanding of the principles of great design and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual details.

Highly organized with good time and project management skills, outstanding attention to detail, and a proven ability to consistently deliver to deadlines and budgets.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.

Experience in people management, mentoring, coaching and leadership.

Well-developed business acumen and comfortable building effective working relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.

Proficiency in HubSpot Marketing Suite.

Proficiency in Office 365, especially PowerPoint.

Benefits

Superannuation contributions (on top of KiwiSaver!)

Fully funded Southern Cross Health Insurance (Regular Care for you and your family)

Annual Health & Wellbeing Subsidy

Generous Long Service Awards

Birthday Leave and other special leave days
