Database Support

Details of the offer

In this Database Support role, you will be responsible for management and upkeep of the organisation's database systems to ensure their efficient operation, security, and accessibility. This role is essential in keeping the database systems stable and running smoothly, which is vital for storing and accessing data properly. Your working hours will range from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 40 hours per week according to roaster, with a negotiable hourly wage between a minimum of $30 and a maximum of $32, based on your experience. For this role your key responsibilities include: Setting up and maintaining the structure of databases and their components Implementing security measures to protect data and make sure backups are done regularly to prevent data loss. Solve any issues that may occur within the database to keep it running efficiently. Oversee the overall health and security of the database system. Prepare reports on database status and ensure all practices meet health and safety standards. Collaborate with IT team members to ensure the database aligns with business requirements and integrates well with other systems. Manage user access and permissions to safeguard sensitive information within the database. Key Requirements: Candidates must have either a diploma or certificate qualification in a relevant field or have at least three years of experience working in a related industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address database issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report to management. Ability to manage time effectively, particularly in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Applicants must have a clean background with no criminal record. Strict zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use in the workplace.
