Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology)Our client is a leading innovator in the built environment, and they're dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights to support their operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.And at Magnetic, we're excited to be supporting them in taking a fresh approach to their master data management, reinforcing accountability across their business divisions to ensure data accuracy and reliability. As a result, we're looking for an experienced and detail-focused Data Manager to drive this effort and play a critical role in enhancing data integrity within the business.In this position, you'll manage the end-to-end process of uploading and maintaining master data across D365 environments, working closely with subject matter experts from various divisions across the wider business and licence holders. You'll provide essential data templates, oversee data population and verification, and manage the process from initial test uploads through to final production stages. You'll also take on ad-hoc reporting support and be encouraged to utilise and grow your skills in SQL and Power BI.Key Responsibilities:Data Management: Oversee the uploading of all master data into D365 test and production environments in line with business processes.Supply structured data templates for SMEs to populate, validate, and approve.Format and organise large datasets for consistent and efficient upload.Coordinate with SMEs to review and verify data in test environments, only committing data to production after quality assessments.Reporting & Analytics: Support internal teams by fulfilling reporting needs across systems including D365, and other industry and business-related ERP and software packages.Perform data extraction using DMF framework, SQL queries, and other tools.Develop insights using the client's information systems and Power BI as part of ongoing analytics capability building.ERP & Systems Support: Contribute to D365 updates and assist with data integrations, working alongside IT to streamline data processes.Training & Development: Provide training to empower team members in data manipulation and reporting.The ideal candidate will:Be a data-driven professional with excellent technical skills and a keen eye for detail. You will bring strong data management experience, ideally within ERP environments, and enjoy working collaboratively with teams, with positivity, to uphold high standards of data accuracy. You'll be proficient in Excel and SQL and have a knack for communicating effectively across the organisation. A natural problem-solver, you'll be diligent, resilient, and committed to quality control.Your Skills and Experience:Proven experience in data management, ideally within ERP environments (D365 knowledge is advantageous).Relevant tertiary qualification in business analysis, data science / engineering or similar.Relevant Microsoft certifications in Power BI and D365 would be preferred.Advanced Excel skills, with an ability to handle and arrange large data volumes.Familiarity with SQL and Power BI, or a strong willingness to grow in these areas.Detail-oriented and able to work autonomously with focus and resilience.Excellent communication skills, with confidence interacting across various teams and levels.Experience in training others on data processes is essential.This role provides a unique opportunity to be central to data quality initiatives, supporting internal teams to take full ownership of their data processes.
