As part of the Digital team, Cyber Security provides assurance that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets and systems are maintained. This includes security governance, architecture, threat intelligence, security monitoring, and incident response. Cyber Security also provides IT assurance including risk management and disaster recovery. Air New Zealand is a large and complex organisation, and our cyber security team is small but mighty. To succeed in this environment, we are looking for security experts who work well with ambiguity, have buckets of initiative, and enjoy building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. The team is seeking a Cyber Security Awareness Consultant (Internal Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist) who will play a key role in building a security-aware culture across our organization. Key responsibilities of the role include: Design and deliver cyber security culture and awareness programs: You'll collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a program that raises awareness of common threats and drives effective behavioral changes. Ensure the program aligns with industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. Project management: Plan, manage, and lead various awareness initiatives that engage employees. Develop a metrics framework to effectively measure the success of cybersecurity culture and awareness programs. Communication skills: Display practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques to ensure end users understand and continually apply the required behavioral changes necessary to reduce the 'human factors' risks. To be successful in delivering the above responsibilities candidates will have a combination of the following skills: A broad range of security knowledge of cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies with the ability to assess potential security risks. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, training, or related roles with proven experience in developing effective awareness and training programs. Strong communication skills with the ability to craft complex security messages in a clear, concise manner for diverse audiences within the organisation. Experience delivering cyber security change within a large & complex organisation. This will focus on delivery through the development of strong stakeholder relationships as a trusted business advisor. A problem-solving mindset that enables you to see complex problems from multiple perspectives, collaborate with teams to understand the problem, and work to quickly develop a solution. A "people person", good at establishing productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
