**Job Summary:** As a Customer Support Associate at Expedia, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a vital role in ensuring their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable.
Your primary focus will be to provide exceptional support through various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
You will assist with inquiries, resolve issues, and work to retain customers through genuine and effective communication.
**Key Responsibilities:** - Respond to customer inquiries regarding bookings, travel plans, cancellations, and modifications through phone, email, and chat within a timely manner.
- Provide detailed information about destinations, services, and travel options available through Expedia.
- Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently and empathetically, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilize strong persuasion skills to upsell and cross-sell travel products, creating additional value for customers.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to enhance customer service delivery and improve overall customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in our CRM system, adhering to data entry standards and protocol.
- Proactively identify potential issues and escalate them appropriately to the relevant teams.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on company products, services, and travel industry trends.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to contribute to the collective knowledge of the team.
- Support company initiatives and participate in processes aimed at driving workplace equality and fairness.
**Qualifications:** - Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
- Passionate and motivated individual eager to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and clarity.
- Experience in a customer service role is an advantage but not required; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Basic computer skills, with familiarity in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think on your feet.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take initiative.
- Availability to work in a part-time capacity, approximately 20 hours per week.
