Guaranteed paid minimum 80 hours per fortnight

About the Opportunity
This position will see you operating a purpose-built DAF truck with a Palfinger Crane based in Invercargill. The role will mainly comprise of moving concrete poles for key Hilton Haulage customers around the Southland region; no day will be the same!
Skills and experience
At least 3 years' relevant driving/crane operating experience;
NZQA Unit standard 16617;
A strong geographical knowledge of the Southland region;
Experience working within a team, in a dynamic environment;

Duties
Day-to-day tasks:
Perform tasks in such a way as to promote and maintain a good company image – you are the face of Hilton Haulage!
Comply with all health & safety related rules, policies, procedures and directions given by the Employer and/or customer – Health & Safety inductions are required for all customer sites.
Participate as a member of the driving team, completing all work as assigned and assisting other drivers as required – attending Toolbox meetings, pre-start inspection checks, and ensuring your vehicle is maintained to a high standard.
Work carefully and drive defensively to ensure your own safety, and the safety of others. Drive in a manner that actively considers factors such as weight limits, hazardous materials regulations, weather and traffic conditions.
