Here at Connell we're looking for the right person who can get us the right result, by supporting our Construction Manager with Contracts/Projects Management across multiple civil sites. We're looking for a natural leader and good communicator, who understands what it takes to deliver quality projects, on time and within budget.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Contracts/Projects Manager you'll be tasked with working on our many projects, owning the management and coordination. Working to tight timeframes, and closely with our clients, you'll be forming the foundations of your project to ensure the successful delivery of key milestones. Our sites include brownfield and greenfield electrical substations/switchyards, deep and complex drainage projects and many sites involving in-situ cast concrete and precast concrete buildings and structures.
Key role responsibilities are:
Plan, budget, oversee, manage and document all aspects of projects
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to budget
Negotiate with clients, subcontractors and external stakeholders
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
Update programmes weekly
Prepare project methodologies
Collate and reconciliate all project costs against budget on a weekly basis
Ensure contract compliance is maintained
You will have:
A relevant construction Degree or Diploma
Experience working on NZ construction sites
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team unity and client service
A commitment to all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality & Environmental compliance onsite
Remuneration will be dependent on experience, track record and your ability to perform our key competencies.
