Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As our new Contract Manager - Digital, you will lead and manage the team responsible for the lifecycle of multiple supply agreements and contracts for NZTA Waka Kotahi's Digital Group, taking direct responsibility for the management of strategic and business critical supplier agreements.
In your new role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the specified requirements in contracts and agreements are delivered, ensuring that the contract terms, conditions and key performance indicators are met for agreements within the business group. This newly created position will ensure that there is necessary contract monitoring in place and that risks and issues during the delivery of the contract are managed.
In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with our Procurement team, and work closely with our Performance and Compliance function, and Service Delivery teams, utilising your knowledge and understanding of software licensing, cost management, asset management and vendor performance. Leveraging your continuous improvement focus, you will always be on the lookout for further opportunities to drive strategic commercial realignment across Digital and support the build out of our commercial capability and function. This will include how we standardise our offerings and procurement processes for roading technology and supporting infrastructure.

Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box).
Relevant commercial or contract management experience with high value contracts
Experience in the public sector context and working knowledge of New Zealand Government procurement policy and DIA digital policy and processes
Detailed knowledge and practical experience in the development of effective KPIs and providing contract management advice to business stakeholders
Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with a high level of expertise in managing diverse internal and external relationships
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture
A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience, with CIPS or related professional industry membership preferred
