Full Job Description Relocation to Tasmania Our client, a successful $200M revenue company in the utilities industry, is seeking a Contract Management Specialist to join their growing function.
In this role, you'll provide specialized advice on developing and managing contracts that are not only fit for purpose but also commercially viable, ensuring they align with business needs.
You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire contract management lifecycle and offering insights that facilitate efficient administration and effective supplier performance management.
The Role: Provide expert advice to stakeholders on complex contract management issues, balancing commercial viability with business needs.
Maintain contract management systems in line with quality and governance standards.
Conduct regular analysis and reporting on supplier and contract performance.
Lead negotiations and manage variations or terminations of contracts, ensuring quality control throughout the contract lifecycle.
Monitor for emerging contractual issues and implement mitigation measures to address them effectively.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, serving as the go-to contact for all contractual inquiries.
Keep all contract management documentation organized and compliant with governance standards.
Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders for legal contract matters.
Facilitate meetings to address all contract-related issues and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Review and maintain supplier certification requirements to ensure compliance with contract obligations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop briefing notes, reports, and correspondence related to contract management activities.
Work with the Contract Manager to continuously enhance contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Prepare insightful reports on contract management service delivery to support ongoing improvements.
Contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused, and innovative contract management team within the Supply Chain Services Business Unit.
Assist in managing relationships with sub-contractors and vendors.
What you will need: At least 2-5 years experience in a procurement/contracts role.
Tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management or a related discipline is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in developing a procurement function or improving existing procurement practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
