Established to lead, operate, and develop investment in modernisation of the firearms system, which will result in a more efficient and effective risk-based licensing system, and shall improve public confidence in the firearms licensing system. The modernisation of the Arms Regulatory System will take every opportunity to prevent harm through transparent, high quality, consistent, legislatively correct, and effective regulatory activities. The role supports overall regulatory compliance and delivers a high-quality service the public deserve and expect.This is an office-based position, and no firearms experience is required.Assess licence applications, permits and endorsements.Ensuring licence holders understand their responsibilities through education and intervention in order to improve compliance.Once trained, understand the application of improvement notices, prescribed conditions, warning letters, temporary suspensions, revocations, and refusals.Providing accurate and relevant Information and recommendations to decision makers.Ensuring compliance activities are completed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.Maintain accurate and detailed records.What you'll bring:Being part of the Police whanau is about being our best to ensure our communities are safe and feel safe.
