Join our team as a Communications and Engagement Manager Are you a strategic thinker and creative communicator with a passion for community engagement?
As the Communications and Engagement Manager, you will be a key player in connecting Upper Hutt City Council with our diverse stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of portfolios, including communications, media and public relations, community engagement, digital outreach, marketing, and events.
You will lead a team helping our community to understand Council business, strengthen our identity, improve engagement and support delivery of Council services and projects that benefit community wellbeing in Upper Hutt.
We're looking for someone who is: Well-rounded communications, engagement and marketing experience Skilled leader of people and projects with a coaching and mentoring approach Experience communicating and engaging in a complex organisation and environment Confidence and outstanding ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally A positive, proactive approach with the initiative to pick things up and take ownership Experience in, or an understanding of local government is advantageous The remuneration band for this role is $112,880 – $146,080.
