About the role We are looking for a Marketing and Engagement Manager to provide strategic leadership across our marketing, communications, partnerships and event delivery programmes. You will lead and oversee impactful engagement across all our activities, ensuring alignment with TIA's brand and strategic objectives. You'll also be responsible for managing and growing our commercial relationships and partnerships. You will lead a team of six events and communications professionals to be constantly improving the performance of our key marketing and communications channels and will have oversight of all TIA events. You'll be responsible for building capability in your team, providing regular coaching and support, managing workloads and recognising and celebrating team and individual successes. Reporting to our Chief Executive, you will be an integral part of our leadership team. You'll collaborate closely with other leaders to shape our business strategy, drive action planning and role model our values and behaviours for your team and our people. Your work will be highly valued by not only our internal TIA team, but also our members and the wider tourism sector. About you You will have at least 10 years' experience working in a commercial, marketing or sponsorship environment. You'll be an experienced people leader and the ability to motivate and enthuse staff to produce their best possible work. Exceptional stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills, along with outstanding communication skills. Strong operational management skills specifically in project management and commercial negotiations. Experience and knowledge of the Tourism Industry and sectors is preferred. Understanding of tikanga and te ao Maori and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You will actively work to appropriately integrate te ao Maori into our ways of working.
