We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented Commercial Manager to join our senior leadership team based in our Penrose head office. Reporting to our Divisional CFO, you will be a key business partner with the Comfortech GM and wider leadership team and play a critical role in the financial success of our organization by providing commercial and financial leadership, driving business performance, ensuring financial targets are met, and identifying further opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:Drive business performance by identifying and analysing trends and opportunitiesRecommending strategies to improve financial performance, and developing action plans to achieve business goalsEnsure financial targets are met and work with the Comfortech SLT to identify opportunities for growthLeadership and development of the finance teamDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teamsEnsure financial and commercial risks are identified and managed appropriatelyContinuously review and improve financial processes, systems, and controlsSkills, Experience, and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAt least 10 years of experience in commercial finance, including experience leading teams and providing commercial and financial adviceStrong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand complex business issues and develop strategies to address themStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and opportunitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levelsStrong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve business goalsExperience in the construction or building materials industry is preferred but not requiredWe offer a competitive salary, a supportive team environment and a wide range of employee benefits that come with joining one of New Zealand's largest employers.
