Te Arawa Management Limited (TAML) is the asset holding arm of Te Arawa Lakes Trust. Established in 2006, TAML's role is to manage and optimise the Trust's commercial resources. Keen on a fixed term role with some real bite (not literally)? You're going to be working at a fast pace and get things done. In keeping with that style, this is what we need from you – real finance nous paired with dairy and kiwifruit sector experience (manufacturing would be a bonus). You will be working side by side with the CEO, stepping into kiwifruit and dairy operations management and dealing with all that this encompasses. Day to day, the role is also involved in monitoring financial performance (cashflow and payables/receivables through to P&Ls and Balance Sheets), financial analysis, asset and risk management. You'll be working with the CEO to develop and manage investment asset budgets - execute asset management plans and support us to grow our asset portfolio. Working for an iwi owned commercial organisation, we'd prefer that you have previously worked in the iwi Maori space, however if not, we're open to conversations with people who have the intention to learn and respect our culture and values. You'll walk the talk as a leader, be incredibly driven, take initiative and have a get it done attitude but not so far that it undermines your working relationships (both internal and external). You're a self-starter and solutions focused. To deliver, you'll need the experience to match. Specifically, we are thinking transferrable financial expertise, commercial primary sector (dairy and kiwifruit), and business performance. Experience with property development helpful, including Maori land titles would be useful. All of this is backed up with a relevant accounting / finance qualification or equivalent commercial experience and solid judgement. He aha te mea nui o te ao?
