About the role Reporting to the project specific Commercial Development Manager, the primary objective of this role is to be responsible for the client-side construction delivery of multiple commercial and industrial property development projects. This role requires a background in project management or quantity surveying, with direct experience in commercial and/or industrial construction. Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery of assigned projects to agreed standards, budgets, and timelines. Responsible for maximising the development profitability potential of all development projects. Ensure all developments comply with all relevant NZ Standards and Codes of Practice and meet the requirements of the RMA. Work alongside the Commercial Development Manager and Design Manager to manage the concept, development, and detailed design process on each individual project. Negotiate and document construction contracts for both civil and vertical construction. Requirements Commercial construction project management experience is essential. A strong understanding of the NZ Building Code. Experience in Resource Management and building consenting processes. Understanding of planning and building frameworks, local authority management, consultant, and contractor management. Civil Construction or Quantity Surveying background is advantageous.
