We are looking for a qualified Espresso Technician to join the Havana Coffee Works family based at our Auckland Roastery and help us Get Your Good Going.
Havana is in an exciting period of growth for our business, so don't miss this opportunity to join the ride.Your role will be to maintain, diagnose and repair machines for both our commercial fleet & customers across the Upper North Island.
If a customer requires some urgent support with their coffee machine, you would be there on hand to make sure they're back up & running with minimal impact.
Havana is a distributor for Wega, Mazzer, Rocket and La Marzocco coffee machines, so providing technical guidance on these machines is also part of the role.Reporting to our Technical & Equipment Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:Installing, servicing, repairs, maintenance of all Havana equipment across a variety of customers and locationsAll workshop and storage related inventory and stock management, including stocktakes and orders/ acquisitionManagement of all equipment in CRM system, including serial numbers, locations, service historyAll events set up requirementsBuilding maintenance and repairs as necessaryPlease be aware, there is a rostered on-call element to ensure we keep the coffee flowing.We're looking for someone who is:Motivated, hard-working, a "get in and doer" who is fit and healthy and capable of heavy lifting.Quick thinking with GREAT attention to detail, focusing on customer serviceCool under pressure; working well to time constraints, following pre-determined guidelines, planning ahead, meeting operational demands and adapting to ever-changing variables on a daily basis.Positive and focused; we are a team where no task is too big or too small so a great attitude to teamwork while being self-motivated is essential.You'll need to hold a current New Zealand EAS Electrical Certificate and a full NZ Driver's license.
Preferably at least three years' experience working with coffee equipment (or something similar).
A reasonable base knowledge and experience in the specialty coffee sector is preferred.
The role will include travel outside of the Auckland region, and occasionally outside of usual business hours with very little notice which you will be compensated appropriately for.This role would be paid an annual salary between a range of $70,000 to $80,000 depending on the level of experience & qualifications of the successful candidate.If you think you are the right "coffee tech" for this role, please draw us a diagram of your favourite machine and send it in with your CV and cover letter.
