Cloud Operations Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Collaborate with development teams to contribute to the design, build, documentation, and implementation of scalable deployment processes for all products and solutions.
Assist in defining, documenting, and automating the build of standardised infrastructure for solution deployments.
Ensure high-quality support experience for customers and internal staff.
Ensure excellent customer experience with installations and upgrades.
Proactively prevent outages or downtime through effective monitoring and response actions.
Help address platform issues through review and enhancement of our platform monitoring configuration.
Identify process improvement opportunities and design solutions, advocating for their adoption.
Contribute to resolving issues and preventing their recurrence by addressing inadequate processes, policies, or standards.
Establish best practices for cloud deployment and support processes.

This role could be a good fit for you if you have:

Extensive experience in the delivery and reliability of cloud services.
Exceptional technical system and cloud support skills combined with a customer-focused mindset.
Deep knowledge and direct experience in tackling the critical challenges of delivering secure, scalable, and dependable cloud platforms.
Significant experience working with cloud platform technology, ideally Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services - experience with Kubernetes and Terraform would be advantageous.
Solid experience with Linux and Python would be an advantage.
Proven commitment to building and maintaining a body of current knowledge of cloud platform architecture, delivery, and reliability.
Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for building relationships within a large, dynamic, and diverse team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling you to articulate your ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
Ability to relate to and empathise with those around you, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
