As an employer, this business places great emphasis on its people and providing a rewarding career with unlimited opportunities both locally and internationally.About your new RoleSitting within the Corporate IT Team, the Network & Cloud Engineer will drive the design, development, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure and network services. This role will play a key role in defining the most suitable architectural design that is robust, secure, and scalable, with the ultimate outcome being the delivery of high-performance and reliable solutions.Key tasks aligned to this role will include:Consult with key stakeholders across the business to identify business requirements and develop high-level designs.Oversee cloud and network infrastructure with a specific focus on the AWS platform.Take ownership of the AWS cloud environment including performance optimization, technical issues, and resource utilization.Deploy and manage applications in the AWS environment.Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and manage cloud resources.Provide escalation support and expertise on the network, primarily with Cisco products, Palo Alto firewalls, Core Networks & SD-WAN infrastructure.Build strong working relationships with external and third-party vendors to ensure exceptional service.About YouThe ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills across both Networks and Cloud computing (AWS specifically), where you have had 'hands-on' experience performing the above-listed tasks, most likely within a medium-sized organization.Other attributes will include:Hold a professional IT qualification & relevant IT certifications (CCNA) and (AWS).Proven skills at configuring and setting up network and cloud environments.A sound understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Direct exposure to containerization & FinOps.Solid Project Management skills that include governance knowledge.Interpersonally, you are an excellent communicator who is highly organized and able to operate effectively in a team as well as independently.
