The Climate Change and Resilience Manager plays a critical leadership role in shaping Whakatane's response to climate change, raising awareness, strengthening community resilience, and ensuring effective emergency management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that mitigate the effects of climate change, build community preparedness for emergencies, and support long-term resilience to both natural and human-made hazards.
As a key Manager within the Council's Strategy and Growth team, you will coordinate the work of emergency management officers, strategic advisors, and projects, providing expert advice on climate change response and resilience. This is a dynamic and impactful role, ideal for a professional with a passion for sustainability and community safety.
