Chinese Cook

Alan and Helen Lin Ltd is looking for two full-time Chinese Cooks to join the progressive team in Tauranga. Ideal candidates must have the following:

At least six months of relevant work experience in cooking Chinese cuisine.

Fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.

Able to work on weekends and overtime.

Flexible to work late-night shifts and manage two shifts in a day.

Full commitment is required.

Reliable and responsible.

Able to pass a police check.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare all Chinese Cuisine dishes to specifications.

Meet all Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements.

Ensure temperatures, seasonings, and flavors are to specification.

Present and serve all foods in a timely manner and in the correct sequence.

Ensure storage of foods meets statutory Health and Safety requirements.

Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.

Update and develop new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.

Perform general kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.
