My client is a leading player in the retail funds management sector, dedicated to delivering exceptional investment products and services. To support their continued growth, they are seeking an operationally-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the executive team.

This COO role has been created to support the growth of the business across multiple disciplines, including Retail Funds Management, Outsource Contract Management, Human Resource Management, and Service Delivery. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of retail investment products and operations, with a strong emphasis on managing outsourced partners effectively.

Summary of Key Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
Extensive experience in retail financial services operations, particularly within fund management/KiwiSaver.
Deep operational understanding of the interrelationships between member registry, fund accounting, unit pricing, custody, and daily cash flow management.
Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory framework governing retail financial services in New Zealand, including anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financial terrorism (CFT) regulations.
Proven track record in managing third-party service providers and SLAs effectively.
Strong understanding of the IT infrastructure necessary for reliable service delivery and operating efficiency.
Familiarity with employment laws and People and Culture initiatives.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
