About the roleLead a dedicated team focused on sustainable community growth and affordable housingPartner with our key stakeholdersDevelop a new housing supply where communities thriveTe Toi Mahana is looking for an inspiring Chief Executive to champion affordable housing in Wellington, helping to create a thriving, inclusive city where everyone has a place to call home. Established in 2023, this independent trust was established by Wellington City Council to reduce the cost to ratepayers in the provision of social housing. Te Toi Mahana manages over 1,800 properties, serving 3,000 tenants with an annual revenue of $30 million.At its core, this role ensures quality services are delivered to our tenants and efficient property management. As our Chief Executive you will oversee the management of all assets owned and leased by the Trust, further develop strong partnerships with Mana Whenua, Wellington City Council, central government, community providers and other stakeholders, as well as progress our housing development ambitions.Reporting directly to the Board you will ensure we meet our strategic goals and financial objectives, including maintaining our registration as a Community Housing Provider. Internally, you will promote a positive internal culture, manage our financial performance, and ensure operational excellence, all while prioritising relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and partners. This leadership position requires proactive governance engagement and a commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in service delivery.About youThis role offers the chance to make a real impact on Wellington's housing landscape.
