Save the Children New Zealand (SCNZ) is a long standing member of Save the Children Association which supports child-focused operations in more than 120 countries around the world. SCNZ also holds a special relationship with Save the Children Australia and Save the Children Fiji, working collaboratively to achieve greater impact for children across the Pacific.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing clear leadership and direction for SCNZ. You will work closely with the Board and guide the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement effective business strategies while fostering a positive organisational culture that creates value for all stakeholders. Under your watch, SCNZ will enhance its role as an effective advocate for the rights of children, working in collaboration with key funders and providers to develop and monitor high quality programmes both domestically and globally.
The successful candidate will be an empowering and proven senior people leader, commercially savvy with the ability to grow the success of this organisation. Considerable business acumen is sought, along with the ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders. Experience in the not-for-profit/NGO sector would be an advantage. In return, you will have the support of a committed Board of Directors and a passionate and expert team of staff.
