Established as an incorporated society in 1994, the Roofing Association of New Zealand works on behalf of its members to develop industry communication, regulation, training and better business practice; for improvement in roofing and housing quality and enhancement of the industry as a whole. Reporting to the board, the CEO opportunity is the key leadership role in the RANZ society and is a highly engaging and interesting position. Find out more at www.ranz.co.nz.Based from the Albany head office with your support team and travelling nationally from time to time you will:Review and drive increased member and partner engagementCreate a culture of value through guiding and developing member business ownersExecute a strategic plan in partnership with KPMG, providing clear and concise direction across the societyBuild relationships and enhance RANZ's profile with relevant government departments and ministersDevelop and manage a profitable and highly relevant yearly conferenceDrive increased board visibility and engagement through forecasting and budgeting, providing clarity and leadership in monthly board meetingsBuild "better business people" by providing input and guidance into a range of challenges and opportunities, such as recruitment, finance and forecasting, delivery and execution, succession planning and investment/divestment.Able to advise on and make key decisions around branding and marketing (in conjunction with marketing staff)To apply successfully, you are a business leader entering a phase where sharing your knowledge and experience with others is key to your happiness and drive. A background in business ownership or senior management with experience in fiscal responsibility and reporting; and where "organisation wide" direction and communication have been key deliverables. Skilled in business administration, you will have prior board exposure and ideally, working knowledge of the Incorporated Societies Act. You are at a presentation and confidence level where presenting to groups, taking a lead in industry/trade events, and being the spokesperson for an industry group is both comfortable and enjoyable for you.RANZ is offering a salaried position and a lovely opportunity with all the right amounts of opportunity and challenge, based in Albany and travelling nationally as you see fit.
