We are looking to hire a highly motivated, experienced, Senior Director to head the National Platform - Multi User Wafer Fab (MUWF).
Competencies
Experienced in semiconductor, manufacturing fab ramp-up, management of semiconductor production fab
At least 10-15 years of executive-level operational experience
Strong initiative, self-driven, high creativity to develop and retain customers and industry partners.
Ability to work as a team with various departments and stakeholders to achieve goals including providing guidance to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
Responsibilities:
To be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision.
To oversee all operations, functions, and activities of the MUWF as a national cleanroom facility.
To ensure on-time, on-budget startup of the facility.
To liaise with JTC and its appointed contractors and A*STAR support groups, and ensure good decisions are made.
To provide monthly and key milestone updates to A*STAR management and stakeholders on outfitting MUWF progress.
To develop the MUWF to meet its goals, increase partnership opportunities, accelerate translational research and drive economic outcomes.
To develop and implement strategies that help to achieve the facility's mission and objectives.
To promote and facilitate the use of the facility for knowledge management, so as to accelerate research (aka ?Central Kitchen?).
To develop tailor-made processes to meet the requirements of R&D, industry partners and low-volume high-mix prototyping.
To manage effectively the operations and administrative affairs of the facility.
To make key decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
To oversee the facility's financial and operational performance.
To implement sustainable 24/7 operations.
To ensure the facility is able to support the hosted research performers to do R&D, prototyping and (selectively) small volume production.
To assess and implement solutions for automating the facility.
To enable an appropriate level of data dashboards for our customers.
To be responsible for the selection of fab suppliers.
To be responsible for tool purchases, installation, qualification.
To create an environment conducive to intellectual and research growth.
To build and support a community of researchers to increase research opportunities.
To establish cross contamination avoidance rules.
To market and promote MUWF.
To market and promote MUWF to appropriate local and overseas companies, and attract them to take up space and collaborate with public sector research performers.
To manage space allocation to the hosted research performers from the public and private sector, including considerations of tenancy mix to reap synergies.
Manage stakeholders expectations and ensure partner satisfaction – grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to partners – farm existing partnerships.
To secure funding for MUWF.
